The Coolpix S6200 digital camera is equipped with a powerful 10x Nikkor ED optical zoom lens made of glass. Pretty amazing considering the fact that the camera body is only 1 inch thick.

The trusted Nikkor optics in combination with the advance VR image stabilization system allow you to take great images in sharp focus, even when you are shooting moving subjects.
An easy to use camera. There are 19 scene modes wich automatically select the optimal settings matching your current environment. There’s even an Auto Scene Selector.
And the wonderful Smart Portrait System warns you when your subject blinks and takes a picture when they smile. How great is that! Red eye problems are fixed and the subject’s skin is smoothed to capture great family album shots in any situation.
Another great feature is Nikon’s Best Shot Selector. When you press the shutter the camera will take up to 10 pictures in a row. The results are analyzed after which the S6200 automatically selects and saves the sharpest image.

This means you will get a lens offering everything from a wide angle to telephoto.

However, digital zooming in general reduces the quality of the image. Blurring may occur.

The Nikon Coolpix S6200 records video in a HD 720p mode. This is not Full HD 1080p as offered on more expensive Point & Shoot and DSLR models. Nevertheless a 720p video has a an excellent resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 30 frames per second. A much higher resolution than the 640×480 frame size that was standard on previous generations of photo cameras.
A 720p Video will look brilliant on your HDTV set.

The Nikon S8200 / Coolpix S8200 digital camera comes with a responsive 16.1 megapixels CMOS censor and a Nikkor ED 14x zoom and wide angle lens made of glass.
The 3 inch LCD display on the back side of the camera has a very high resolution of 921.000 dots, for easy image shooting and reviewing.
The Nikon S8200 uses a so called backside-illuminated censor. Theses censors have all the circuitry on the rear side. Meaning the front side of the censor has more space to do what it was build for. Capturing light and colors in the best possible way.
The Coolpix S8200 takes excellent pictures any time of day, even in low light situations. ISO ranges from 100 to 3200.
Another great feature is the high burst capture of no less than 6 frames per second.

The camera is equipped with a Nikkor ED 14x zoom lens which offers everything from a wide angle at 25mm to a great telephoto setting of 350 mm. The zoom range can be extended even further to 700mm by using the 2x Digital Zoom function. But keep in mind that digital zooming in general reduces the image quality.
Aperture setting vary from f/3.3 to f/5.9 across the range of zoom.
